After a disastrous match-winning innings played by Kieron Pollard in absence of Skipper Rohit Sharma, Mumbai Indians are all set to lock horns with Rajasthan Royals. Rajasthan lost the previous match in a close knockout against Chennai Super Kings. On the other hand, Mumbai did great against Kings XI Punjab, especially Kieran Pollard who was roped in as the captain of the team and played a devastating inning. Kieron Pollard dedicated that match-winning inning to her wife along with his son.
Rohit Sharma is all set to make a comeback after being rested from the last encounter against Kings XI Punjab. The Skipper will bring another change with the top order as Evin Lewis will play first match of the Indian Premier League season 12 replacing Quinton De Kock, who has not been in touch so far. Likewise, Siddhesh Lad will be replaced by the skipper as the debutant was not able to show his game in the first match of him in Indian Premier League season 12.
Mumbai Indians vs Rajasthan Royals is scheduled to be played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai which is batting friendly pitch and assists the spinner. Especially, when it is an afternoon match and there will be no dew factor. Rajasthan Royals have no reason to make any further changes as they are loosing the matches despite a good performance. RR might bring back K Gowtham for Riyan Parag, who made his debut but couldn’t stood up to mark.
